Bobbin Lace Pillow with 60 Wooden Bobbins, Antique.
Estate Sale, selling on behalf of a family friend. This item originally belonged to their great-great-grandmother, but kept in the family over the generations although no one used it. Estimated to be 135+ years old. Not too many of these around anymore.
As you can see in the pictures, it could use cover restoration (current material is dry/deteriorating and torn), but the roller part spins, and the storage drawer for bobbins works fine. We question if the notches the roller pillow goes on needs repair or if it’s made that way (see pictures). Base is wood (unsure wood type), good solid piece. Few different sizes of wooden bobbins, all in good condition, solid, with no cracks or chips – 60 total.
